Event or Exhibition Organizer? Why You Need A Conference Video In Your Marketing Mix

Exhibition and event organizers may be worried by a downturn in the number of delegates signing up to their seminar or event during this hard economic times but it may not be all be bad. Event organizers now need to think ‘outside the box’ and incorporate conference video production into their marketing mix

A few years ago, organizers merely toyed with the idea of new media such as a conference video or DVD as an after thought. Some may have tried to record videos of the event to be given out at a later date. For some this could be still a good avenue to think about.

Technology, however, really can offer much more opportunity for event organisers and filming is ideal for marketing both before and after the event. What’s more by considering to place a conference video online, organizers have suddenly a global audience who could attend online.

Conference Video Work In Practice

How could a conference video work in practice. The filming could be done in advance, possibly highlighting particular speakers. These short videos could be recorded as ‘talking heads’ interviews. Seminars could also be recorded and revenue could be earned by conference organizers’ subscribers paying a fee to watch. Here’s another way, revenue would be to sell advertising space on a special internet URL TV channel. With these specially set up URL, these video channels have pushed streaming on and opened up another advertising revenue potential.

Organizers may also want to consider streaming the conference live. Again extra revenue could be charged for the conference video. Filming could also be with any exhibition stall holders and put on the conference’s own website.

Filming and making presentations available online even by just one speaker will work just as well with this business model. The key for recording for all sizes of events is quality recording.

Nothing beats attending a live event but with money tight both for organizers and potential delegates, investing in good conference video production is a win-win situation for all. But the conference video needs to be of good quality
